I made my own wedding dress!
I knew I wanted something easy because I don’t like fuss, and we wanted to play mini golf and needed to be able to lunge!
It was based on a McCalls M7720 asometric, skater dress. I used a white/silvery brocade from Fabric Land, £8.99/m! Lining from Dalston Mill Fabrics about £5/m and boning in the lined bodice! I added pockets to the dress so I didn’t have to bring a bag which was awesome on the day!
I made a giant bow on the back as I felt like it needed some kapow, which, I hope you agree, is epic!
New skills learnt: wedding-y dress, boning, brocade fabric (so much fraying!) lining, tailoring to fit, shortening a skirt, giant bow, adding pockets into an existing pattern.
